Are you running uprated bars,if not it might be worth trying before increasing the spring rate.

Had mine out for a few laps in the teeming rain at Mondello over here last Saturday(H&R PCS) had the rears full hard and the fronts full soft(I had just towed a trailer and E30 M3 to the track)it seemed to make much better use of road tyres than the S3 did, less initial understeer.
Brakes should be with me tomorrow(Movit 370/6 in front,342/4 rear)so all thats left really are rollbars, some sticky Kumho trackday rubber and some playing around with geometry, should be well tested for the 'Ring at easter.

So far.
Cheeky fecker :biggrin2:

Sorry guys, I was just voicing my opinion that it seemed a lot for a straight run with only a plot.
Lets face it if there is a problem I doubt he'd have time to fix it there & then, and would consequently book the car in for work, billing accordingly.

I'll shut up now as it seems myself and Tom are in the minority (or is that cheapskate department  )

Oh, and as for worrying over 50 quid meaning I'm in the wrong car, its spending wisely that allows me to afford them :bigwave:

Name the date and if I can I will.

Cheers,
John. (with deep pockets and short arms)

I'm too far for it to be cost effective, and I would have kinda hoped that tuners would look upon this as a marketing day... So I'm afraid I'm with JohnW on this one, £50 is too much especially with the amount of business we have sent to QST.

Have to say, it is just to far away for me. Although I would like to go to see what the REVO does on the rollers....
Tomson, have you tried Interpro? they will be nearer you in Bristol.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

I seriously doubt there'll be time if we got the numbers in the 20's!

I understand both sides of the argument about price, I've even been to RR sessions where it was free, admittedly it was only a 2WD basic setup at TSR in Somerset but it took the guys there most of their day and we had refreshments!
My point was that if I just turned up and wanted a run it would cost me more than £50 surely. And if I get more data than BHP and torque out of QST then that's more than most others offer on the same type of day.

Perhaps Kim could refund the £50 if you subsequently booked your car in for some work as a result of the day? Just an idea.

Cheers all,

Ben

Fair point, if you wanted a rolling road test.... But, let's face it, most are looking on this as a meet.

Exactly, this is a marketing event for Kim....

IMHO this thread should be in the For Sale section  . It's not really a meet, and it doesn't even come close to a track day.....

I say again, how much money has RS246 already enabled QST to make? If you do end up paying for this day, then I suppose we should really think about charging for QST's banner advert.... ;)

To be honest I feel like calling him and telling him not to bother.
All this bitching about £50 for a run.
I will talk to him Monday and see if we can get the price down, if not then I will tell him we are too tight to do it.

For information it is £90 for a run normally I believe, dont think you will find 20 x £50 will pay the instalments on £120K of rolling road and cover the power it uses to run the cell but hey thats just my opinion.

Phil if you want to move it to the for sale section then by all means do so.

Why are you getting upset?
All this bitching about £50 for a run.
It's not bitching, we're simply expressing our thoughts.

Firstly, QST owes RS246 IMHO. Secondly, the way I understood it was if you could get enough people to pay the £40/50 then you would go ahead (BTW - Will this event be on a weekend?). Fact is the more attractive an event, the more people you get. Be careful who you call tight.....
For information it is £90 for a run normally I believe,
Fine if you actually need/wanted one, but this is a meet. People will expect a for fun dyno run and refreshments too.
dont think you will find 20 x £50 will pay the instalments on £120K of rolling road and cover the power it uses to run the cell but hey thats just my opinion.
And I don't think QST bought a Dyno so that they could make their money back doing rolling road days....
Phil if you want to move it to the for sale section then by all means do so.
