im probably just a boring old fart, but these mods are getting a little bit "max power" for me and prefer it standard.

each to their own though and you clearly know what you are doing... dont put neon lights under it though please :)

Agreed, it is actually what put me off getting a B7 and why I'm after a B8. Not this car specifically but too many have been spoilt now with mods that undermine the true beauty of the car in its natural form. Just me though, freedom of expression is always important.

The lights work well with the look you're going for.

But I'm like the others who have posted above and prefer the original OEM look.

I agree with others sentiments - whilst I am not shy of a mod or two - I personally never wanted to deviate too much from the original look of the car hence why I resisted (a lot) to go with different wheels and only made subtle mods to the look of the car outside (rear lights/stance/calipers/wheel colour). When I bought the car it had two things I didn't like - black badges at the front, and dark titanium rims (I personally didn't like the gangster look). The first thing I did was to swap the badge back to factory chrome and and start researching on a decent wheel colour.

But hey each to their own and having said this - I've known Louie a long time and did use to drive a Focus RS (and a TVR before that) so he can be given a bit of slack in the mod department :assflash: @Firestarter :bigblink:

Finally - my calipers look far better than yours Louie as they where stripped, dipped and painted, badged and lacquered professionally rather than attacked by a network engineer! HA! :biggrin2:

Morning all,
Well yesterday I made the journey over to AmD in Thurrock. Took an hour as left at 6:45. Got to AmD and although the don't officially open till 8:30 I was greeted by Ian who took all my details and showed me to the customer waiting room. I sat there for around an hour as I had arranged for them to take off the front grille whilst the bumper was removed to install the CAF as I wanted to repaint it black. This was done and Ben came up and gave me the grille together with the keys to my loan car. To my complete surprise it was the RS4 that was sitting in the customer parking bay. Ben said that the engine management light was on due to the car having a decated Milly and also the intake flaps removed, hence it needs mapping, however I was overjoyed that I have another RS4 to use for the week. Try getting that sort of service from MRC or Audi :bash: :audibash: !!! The car is their demo car and I'm assuming will be loaned out to other RS4 owners who are having work done and require a loan car (Graham get ready!!) The car has been lowered and I think its not running DRCs but will check. The sound from the zorst is insane. I drove home and decided to wash it as its was a little dirty an I cant stand riving round in a sh1ty car. Drove the car up to Waterloo last night to pick up a pal and the looks I was getting were hilarious! The pops and bangs the car makes is just sexual and I was grinning from ear to ear :biggrin3:

Finished cleaning and then set about preparing my grille for repainting. All done now and some pics below. Just need to polish up and then whizz back over to AmD tomorrow and drop back to them and also collect the OE exhaust as I have borrowed a mates LWB transit van so can get it in without any issues.

More to follow during the week :thumb:

Should have just painted the grill in situ on the car if you weren't going to strip it down and paint it properly!

And spend an age masking up everything and risk getting paint and lacquer on the car.....I don't think so :bigblink:

Sorry sarcasm doesn't always work over the Internet. I was getting at the fact you've just hit the whole lot with paint, would've taken 10 mins to take it apart and give everything a proper hit

Stone chips on that grill are going to look interesting...
