What are you doing this weekend...?

Post by R8GXR » Fri Aug 23, 2013 8:25 pm

We are off to a wine festival in Cochem in Germany and then in between the wine its popping up to the Nurburgring for a few laps. :beerchug:
Staying at the ring casino hotel Monday night (treating the missis!) then back home Tuesday via Reims pits for a few photos.
Apart from the gearbox (which seems ok and has been fully serviced!) ive replaced or fixed just about everything on and in the car so hopefully all will work well.

Bet these wont be so clean by the time we return.

Hopefully these will work well on the way and round the track.

Im off to a Vimto tasting, couple of roundabouts close by, so ring action will be rife!

Staying at my house, but the missus is booking into a Premier Inn, everything's premier but the price, she cant wait. Once I've picked her up in the morning, we're planning to go home via B&Q and Lidl for some sh#t we don't need.

I've removed the 623 sweet wrappers my kids left in it, and peeled the jelly baby off the head rest, so weight is down.

Just jealous sorry ;-)

You are reinforcing stereotypes about cornholerswallers.

I'm doing my cambelt & IC 'JB weld-athon' this weekend. Should be fun, especially as I can barely bend my knee after my operation.

Nobbers, were you not told about CPM machines? Total lifesaver for post-knee ops, be it knee replacement or other things. I swear by them, my dad had both knees replaces at once and is perfect after using one of these from day one and I have a few other people I recommended them to that have recovered amazingly.

We rent ours from Phoenix healthcare - http://www.phoenix-healthcare.co.uk/content/1/cpm-hire

May be of no use to you but there you go. I have two shot-to-sh!t knees so can relate.

Thanks Footers. I did know about them but was dissuaded by the docs and never thought any more of it. I've actually torn my hamstring right were the graft was taken out so that accounted for most of the tightness. Hey ho. You live and learn.

First problem encountered tonight with my cambelt change. One MAf seal looks like its been pinched so I'll need a couple more. Do Audi have them in stock of do you recon I'm better off going to MRC tomorrow?

CPM machines simply haven't been adopted over here yet, they are used heavily in Yankland. A lot of physios here don't like them as in all honesty the machines are doing a much better job than they are with knee recovery. However, your doc may have had a valid reason, who knows.

Can't tell you either way regarding the seals but interested to hear where you get them from and the part numbers as I have been thinking about changing them and the seals within the inlets too.

Just having a look for the seals online. You wouldn't believe how much they cost. Go on, have a guess. Part number is 077133428A by the way

Found an ETKA that works - its helps if you speak Russian.
