Wheels look fu@king awful! :(

Its not exactly the hardcore monster my dealer is banging on about! The blue car is very similar in appearence to the black one snapped earlier,i hope to <beep> the final car does not look like that pair and that they are in fact just b7 test mules.
Still think Audi will surprise us all once they unveil the car in Geneva 2005,although having to wait till 2006 for the Avant is a pisser.
The article also hints at saloon deliverys starting late 2005,again local dealer is quoting May 2005 :?

When is the new BMW m3 out?
Cheers fc

looks like an S4, but I am sure they are using existing shells to test running gear. When we were at the factory development site in 2000, they had all sorts of Q cars with different development stuff in them including a 10 year old Audi 80 with a state of the art oil burner in it.

These are starting to look far closer to the real thing. I don't think these are photoshop mock-ups (unless someone really has that much more time than sense!) but from a couple of the angles the rear flared arches don't look completely 'right'. But hey it still gets my vote as a damned interesting looking car at this stage. Roll on March!

I hope not. It looks like it was spec'd at Halfords alongside a Vauxhall Nova

The avant looks a bit better (possibly) but looks more of an S4 I would have thought.

That's because it is I reckon :D Different bumpers and wheels but that avant is a B6 S4 for sure.

but somebody has to do it........
The saloon, KE J 964, has rolled rear arches,( ??) there's no 'return' edge on the arch

Chris

I spotted this too, which makes me think that we are some way from seeing a production ready version. If you compare the front wheel arches to the rears on KE J 964 and also on the blue saloon in the other pictures you can clearly see that the front arches are substantially bigger and better finished than the rears at present. I think that the rears will be increased in size to mirror the fronts. This will give the car a much more pronounced 'hourglass figure' side profile which would be more in line with expectations.

Have you also noticed the use of black tape to cover some of the features... i.e. reversing lights in the boot lid, and around headlights.
