Had to sell them as part of the deal with my other half. It helped negotiate the deposit I needed to put down. Well worth it to me.
Oh dear, not in the wife's pocket?

Good work on the purchase. Has to see v-spokes at some point!
Not in her pocket. She was just super unhappy about me 'wasting' our savings.

Martyn at Bath Audi was really helpful though. He even gave her a bottle of bubbly to sweeten her up.

Thanks. I don't know why I didn't do this before.

Its very odd driving the RS compared to the S. I had to have a mini discussion with Martyn about why it feels different, how to drive it etc. very different experience.

I can't easily describe it to be honest.

First thing to notice is the exhaust and engine noise. The steering feels a lot heavier. Low down it feels actually similar to the S5 but then the RS surges on without losing puff. The down shifts are a thing of beauty. I found the gearbox actually a bit less responsive than the S, but marginally. The bucket seats are really sporty and lock you in. The spoiler is really cool, think ill have that up all the time.

It felt a bit fidgety initially when pressing on however this could have been the road, the cold tyres or due to more power being out down. Freaked me out a little. Interestingly the C63 felt the same when I took it out. Initially I felt less confident in it but Martyn sort of talked to me about best to drive it etc which helped.

I think after a week I'll have a really good idea of what it's like and I'll do a decent write up.

Don't be afraid to get its arse moving, it will never step out on you like the C63 but will let you adjust with throttle and steering.... N/A + 8000rpm FTW

No I just think it looks to show offy (not a word!) and trying to hard as opposed to a functional

There are a few TTs around here that do it and I just imagine the start up routine they go through, ignition, belt, spoiler !

First week I had mine, the spoiler motor broke and it was stuck in the "up" position for about a week whilst Audi took 3 attempts at repairing it.

I did prefer the look, so much so I thought the car would have looked better with some kind of fixed spoiler...something subtle, not XKR-S...more M3 CSL

Not something like the TTRS one I hope, the one from halfords

Yes a csl spoiler would have been good, better

Even the Rs5 cab has a little something

They took it off sale whilst they were sorting out an R8 for the current owner. They hadn't even put it back up yet.

After discussion at AITP, when I saw this thread title, I wondered if you'd gone for an R8! :o
