Easy excuse to fit 2010+ rnse
Because the price Audi charged for the OE nav is greater than the cost of retrofitting it.Rick_RS4 wrote:buying this type of car new why would you not spec nav?
Yes it was, I did the sums and opted to order my RS4 with a Symphony II radio plus a glovebox CD changer, within a week of taking delivery I had fitted an RNS-E plus BT module - all for less than the cost of factory ordering an RNS-E.Surrey Sam wrote:Was that really the case back then Dave?

I did - I bought my RS4 from new (ordered in February and had to wait until July for delivery), but I'm an electronics engineer so I knew what the real cost was so I didn't have to pay dealer prices for sat nav (plus it meant I got BT phone without either the ugly dash cradle or an MFSW).Rick_RS4 wrote:PetrolDave wrote:Because the price Audi charged for the OE nav is greater than the cost of retrofitting it.Rick_RS4 wrote:buying this type of car new why would you not spec nav?
spending 50 + grand on a brand new car that does 20 mpg i doubt they would be thinking about fitting it afterwards to save 500 quid
