I like it... The only thing I have an issue with are the rear taillights, they kind of remind me of a Subaru Legacy wagon. The magazine states it will have a V8 with twin turbo. As other reports have said it will be N.A. I will not beleive until I see for my own eyes in Geneva!!!

Obviously only making this judgement based on (photochop) pictures but if that is the new RS it looks pants - especially the rear lights!

The legend in the last picture confirms that 'because of competitive pressure, the engine will be NA and develop 420hp'. What competitive pressure? Turbo is exactly what made Audi distinctive.

This is a no-go for me at the moment, then. The S4-like side 'bars' below the doors look cheap, too.

The rear 3/4 shot looks quite good, although it really is understated.
As for the front shot, looks bl00dy horrible. The front bumper just does not blend well with the rest of the lines.
Look at the way the rear bumper is flared out, and now look how the front one just juts out above the vents.

If that trully is it then I'm staying put.

one thought occurs to me though.
I wonder if these will be limited numbers or not ?

If not I can potentially see some more below book new sales similar to the RS6 situation.

Still, at least I can go back to my original petrol head plans for next year now  :sekret:

I just received the December issue of EVO (old stuff for you guys in the UK, then).
Audi is busy developing the new RS4 around the Nurburgring. The car is thought to have a 'non-turbo' 4.2 V8 FSi engine producing around 425bhp. However, there are rumours that Audi is also working on a 450bhp version capable of lapping the old Nurburgring under the fabled 8-minute mark. Audi is preparing a seven-speed Tiptronic gearbox for the RS4, utilising its acclaimed DSG technology.
Extensive weight reduction is planned, with many aluminium panels. With deeper grilles and sills complemented by a small rear lip spoiler, the new car continues the traditional RS theme of subtle menace.
Expect deliveries of the saloon to commence some time in the middle of 2005 with Avant versions to follow
Encouraging

I've heard a little rumour that the current pics don't show the final bodywork which has flared arches? Could be BS but I thought I'd post it.
