Now that is an absolute bargain!!!

I feel sorry for anyone who has just purchased an RS 5 as they could have had the best spec'd car in the country + change!

I remember this car from a year or so ago...wondered when it would pop up again.

Just think how much they gave for it to have it at £37k....£34k Max?

Hence my earlier point.

Ceramics are rare a fook on the '5s and they do need it if you want to track, they are heavy feckers!

They should be mid 30's now but such low numbers means dealers are sitting tight till they get a sniff.
This one seems to be a good price, buckets and ceramics...

Dave, you are bang on re ceramics - I really miss mine and I don't feel the brakes on my RS5 are enough even on public roads.I regret not having them.

It would se that is the best available RS5 in the country! I looked at about 12 over the past 6 weeks and that price is unbelievably cheap, so much so it makes me question the car? I'd love to hear from someone who views it in the future :)

Re buckets, I hate them, and although an expensive option I feel it would deter a good chunk of buyers :(

And then you see Amar's situation. 'Ramics should come with a health warming.

That's just unlucky.

I love the B7 Cab ceramics, as it means you can hammer the brakes despite its steel front wings and have ample stopping power time after time.

Of course, until it's your turn and then the wasp chewing moves on!

If I'd ordered my RS4 I'd have spec'd 'ramics. From the driving day they were just plain better.

Your R8 on steel?

If my ceramics on the cab died, I'd whack steelies on and sell the caipers etc.

R8 is on steel. R8 brakes are phenomenonal...just uprate the fluid and away you go...you'll easily tire before the brakes do.

To be fair, on my RS 5 I put in Ferodo pads and ATE super blue fluid and they held up quite well, even 4up round the ring!

But I'd prefer ceramics as the RS 5 is a confusing beast. The ADS, sports diff and torque vectoring actually lend itself to being quite fun on track....but due to its weight it will eat brakes and tyres for breakfast lunch and dinner!!

I found him a little arrogant myself but then again he is a salesman! He may be better this time around.

Can I ask why you just didn't get it from Bramleys?

Nickyboy, are you trying to rival DK for the highest number of Audis owned within the shortest timeframe?! :biggrin3:

When I met you at Audi Driver you were in the S4 Avant, so this would be your fourth B8 variant in 12 months....
