What a sad picture. Keep us updated Bob - if the feds catch up with them, and you find out where they live, give me a shout and I'll give you a hand to "return their jack" to them.

I went off on holiday once and on my return found my BM on bricks, all four wheels nicked! Not amusing.

Just one more point - shouldn't the alarm have gone off? And how did the little <beep> know that it wouldn't? Just spoke with a neighbour, his 996 was de-wheeled and found on its disks. The damage? 12,000 quid.

I think that warrants suicide. Or murder.

Have a good weekend all, I'm having a quiet one. Not going anywhere.

Happened to the old man a few years back - the same day he'd put a new set of boots on for a trip to Europe (inside job clearly).
The tossers had put thermolite blocks under the sills which had collapsed so the car was sitting on it's discs, apart from a jack which was under the spare wheel well causing that to deform up into the boot.

Not sure what the bill was but if you go along the lines of 4 wheels/tyres, 4 backing plates, 2 sills, 1 boot floor, and painting most of the car as the sills run the length and need painting around them - I'm sure it was several thousand quid.

Feckers.

Not a nice feeling........came out to the same thing last year, they had used a BMW jack which was imbeded in the drivers door. I bet if you ask about, you will find one of the localish dealers has had their workshop set of wheel locks pinched.

I think it may do mate. I used to park on a hydraulic ramp that set my alarm off occasionally - unless it was a shock sensor?

Mercs have a button to turn off the alarm when you are being towed (well the old C class did anyway - towed = tilted)

Pretty sure I had hard wheels - code ending in 'AE' right? And I'm a bit weary that the dealer doesn't even know that two types exist, I presume I MUST have hard ones as replacements? Just so I can make sure I keep an eye on what he's doing. Also for your info, I have learnt that it's been known for mechanics/tyre fitters when you're not looking to put two locking nuts on two of the wheels, and leave the the other two without. Then it's a quick phone call to the theif and suddenly his job is very easy indeed. Waited up all night - the parasite never cam back. If any Londoners fancy a night doing some baiting, count me in. My mother would be ashamed, poor behaviour from a public schoolboy, but I am livid.

Cheers

You are not alone: Dented sills cost 4000 alone, plus 4 rims with tires.
They hit 6 cars in 30 minutes in my street.

Well, it's a bit of a journey into london for me, but it'd be worth it to help in any sting operation - They really are the scum of the earth.

Really sorry to see your car(s) in that state, there's nothing worse than someone ruining your pride and joy (have had it happen several times, broken windows etc...)
