You could always pay for my exhaust... :biggrin3:

lol ........ No!!

But I'll send you a couple of hookers to take your mind off your quiet exhaust. It would be the cheaper option lol

Road trip to MRC commenced....

Drop car off this afternoon, get it back on Wednesday then back home, hopefully with a huge grin.

Was in with them having mine reflashed this morning but Doug had me back on the road home by 9:45 and it's good to have the remap performance back :-)

Car dropped off for work tomorrow. Only bummer is milltek let them down and no exhaust. So only stg 2 for me. Which I'm sure will be bloody epic.

All disclosed. Would be silly not to. Premium increased by £24 for handling fee. I'm with Greenlight mod and track insurance.

What can i say.....Feckin WOW !! :biggrin3:

Picked the car up this morning after the work was finished yesterday. Figures on <cough> Asda and normal shell mix fuel were 460bhp and 590Nm. Needless to say its now on a diet of Tesco 99 and V Power, which should release one or two more ponies. Also still have the race Milltek to fit, as milltek let the chaps at MRC down so it was not available for fitting yesterday. I'll get it done locally when its delivered then forwarded onto me.

Onto the driving.....

Initial start up....nothing changed, nice and smooth, pull away and its as if nothing has been done, very easy and no dramas. Gets onto the first stretch away from MRC and opens it up in 3rd and 4th......bloody 'ell and fartweed.....I was giggling like a kid. Gobsmacking turn of speed.

Headed back to Oxford to pick the mrs up from the hotel, loaded the bags and off we set on the journey North. Gave the throttle a tickle a few times to have her say....No!! and settle yourself. I waited until 1st motorway sliproad and 'made progress' only for my left eardrum to be perforated with her screaming, then silence. :bash: :thumb:

All the way north the 6th gear flexibility for overtaking was/is addictive. Another surprise was mpg. From full tank on the way down light came on at 320miles covered and on way back, light came on at 360. Same driving both directions sitting at 'making progress' speeds. mpg indicator showed 29mpg on way down and 29mpg on way up for what thats worth?!

Then the fun part, came off the M74, J13 to cut cross country on roads i know well. All I can say is that this car is now transformed. Pull out of 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear corners are immense.

Overall a well chuffed customer and really looking forward to getting the exhaust on to have sound to go with the pace.

Interestingly I'm sure I remember seeing stage one MRC figures with and without Millteks (no other mods) and non res (Race) produced the highest figures, so I think it might make yours even quicker.

Good to see you've got a manual btw! Seems strange the manual box was dropped from the S4, yet Audi have made manual available on the new model S3.

Yes manuals seem to be rare. Also an odd decision to stop them.

Hopefully the milltek will make a difference. Going back in a couple of months for service and possibly additional upgrades. So see how it all comes together.

Anyone considering the stg 2 .... You will not regret it.

If you are planning on going back for a service, resist having it posted up and fitted sooner and get MRC to fit the Milltek because you know they will do properly (and less risk of being damaged in transit etc), feed it strict diet of Shell 99 and see if you can persuade them to tweak the map.....

If you don't ask you don't get! :biggrin3:

Stage 1 cars on 99 are making as much as Stage 2 cars on 95 - the fuel makes a big difference!

Be interesting to compare an unmodified stage 1 car side-by-side with a stage 2 pulley upgrade car - not much gain in horsepower with the relatively low rev limiter but big gains in torque?

Going to get the exhaust fitted by Audi specialist up here. When I go back down for service the plan would be to get the chaps to give it a health check and tweak if needed.
