Daft exhaust question

Post by 535dboy » Fri Jul 19, 2013 9:10 pm

I can't help think my exhaust sounds a bit quieter than normal.

I can hear the flap move and the tone deepen but my question is where is the flap?

Is there a flap for each branch of the exhaust and therefore could one flap not be working or is it before the branch and therefore my head is playing tricks with me?

TIA

Flap should be in each back box by the exit mate.

Get someone to have a look up the pipe when opening/closing

Thanks Dave

Open when off
Open in dynamic
Closed in comfort
Both sides.

Unless you can think of anything else then it must be mind although I have just come back from an 800 miles round trip in the lotus so I guess most things sound quiet after that

Thanks again

Must be you mate.

To be sure, hitch a ride in a pre facelift RS 5 and if you can hear a pin drop in comparison, then all is good!!!
