I went from and S4 to a V8 Vantage, then straight to the RS4.
Vantage is lovely, but not as practical or quick. Or economical.
AM has a place, but choose carefully if you have already had an RS

I'd agree with the above. Discounting the 4.3 as its just shocking, the v8v is a great GT car... If you just want to go from a to b with no frantic nonsense and just 'arrive' and enjoy the journey then its really peerless. It's not proper fast or particularly a proper handling car but it is an occasion. Just don't drop the f*cking key - it'll ruin your day and your wallet (voe)
