It's more like 1.5 at brunters the svm car is a bit special. Delighted sonny kicked the <beep> out it today all day and now nearly back home in scotland without a single fault

Thanks Danny for the run in the GTR...that launch is brutal!! And that was base map! Did u get it mapped during the day as it seemed much faster in the afternoon.

Went out in a 450+PS TTRS Plus .... 3.4 to 60 vbox! Now that's quick!!

Went out with Nige, 204mph .... The R8 literally hits the rev limiter in 6th gear ...but it's still pulling hard and just runs out of gearing!

Got a few runs in my car, had a dual with Golfather but his C6 had too much once those turbos start blowing! But I took him out for a ride and I think he saw what the R8 package was all about.

MRC Turbo R8 went very well! Again limited by gearing, but was super quick!

Loved the 2 Aventadors , the Merci and the F-Type V8 S ... It sounded brutal!

The 911 Turbo S cab was being launched every time and it was obvious it was doing 2.9 -60 all day everyday, the was it launches is physics defying....

It was a fun day.
Unfortunately, it wasn't me that got 227. That was a a Severn Valley GTR which came by trailer, had 1500bhp (I heard) and no wing mirrors, taped up shut lines and was tuned just for top speed
Although the top speed runs were fun, the limiter in my car kicked in at an indicated 169 (GPS app showed 162.9mph). Most of the fun was seeing how the car compared to others from the standing start. DSG and launch control made it a lot easier of course, but in terms of comparison, was neck and neck to about 80 with an F10 M5 that we went against a couple of times. Quite a bit quicker over the initial straight than the Merc 63's that were there (There were a fair few), but lost out after the speeds got up (in the case of a CLK63 Black)

The R8's that were there looked and sounded fantastic and the mcmerc SLR sounded like a spitfire or a hurricane on the straight.

Yes Dave the final mapped raised boost from 16 psi to 22 and also changed ignition advance etc. was brutal in the afternoon nothing was beating me off the line at all. That porker cab with map and filters was sensational. The svm car only runs 1085hp not 1500, that's their toy car their proper car runs over 1800hp. The car that ran today is road legal and is for sale for 85k

The svm car only runs 1085hp not 1500, that's their toy car their proper car runs over 1800hp. The car that ran today is road legal and is for sale for 85k

1085 sounds a bit more realistic as I'd only heard through the rarely reliable 'burger van queue rumour mill'
Looked serious though, and I did clock the for sale sign.
I assume the 1800 more a standing qtr car, whereas the blue example they brought today was made for top speed runs ?

You'd be surprised 'hulk' has been used in top speed runs to. It ran 0-218mph in one mile in the wet. Google it its rather impressive!! Have no idea what there plans are with both cars but I know they are returning in September to try beat their own record set today. Was a superb day out

That was Godfather's there today, same power as mine though, he did 198.4 MPH.

This is me against what i think was a CLK63 Black (although someone might correct me)
The first straight clip is a little misleading as although we initially had to edge on him up to around 70, he did start catching and then backed off early for the first corner. As you'll see on the main straight, there's no arguing that the Merc is clearly a faster car ;
