No, Amar, there was only one car that had a reg change.
This one:

This one:

Re: performance pub talk
Congratulations on your new car - good to hear you're enjoying the car.
The previous owner passed away, caused by a bike accident. Car then sold by QST to dunk, on behalf of the family, then on to the last previous owner. Yes, there was a fire, however, there has been no reported or known structural damage.
Seems like a good car, with good mods, regardless.

Re: performance pub talk
Thanks PB, yip same car .. a fuel line came off ( an actual AUDI fault would you believe ) , fire was out in 15 seconds no damage done , was driving again within hours.. I have about 7 or 8 photos of the 'fire' , never even affected the paintwork.
If this small hiccup deems a car to have 'been through the wars' lol , sometimes things like that happen eh , highly modified cars have a higher chance of breaking down and problems happen, even when its done 100% right ( how many cars finish a formula 1 race ) they havent been through the wars..
I dunno , some people lol
I do know the full story about the original owner , and know exactly the history of the car...
I just bought an immaculate ( and I dont use that work lightly ) RS6 with only 48k miles ,with about 50k spent on it over the past 4 years ,worked hard and saved up and she's absolutely mint & faultless, just don't understand the mentality of some people trying to slag a car off lol , its weird
but hey ho each to there own & that.
Cheers
Robbo

Sounds like a good'un. Rule 1.
I think people were properly put off by the last owner to post about it and that's left a bitter taste which is rubbing off on you a bit, but it looks like you are a different breed.

I think this car sounds awesome. I contacted Dunk (I think it was) when it was for sale before I got mine, as I think I would like a manual RS6, and the mods sound very well done.robwight wrote:Thanks PB, yip same car .. a fuel line came off ( an actual AUDI fault would you believe ) , fire was out in 15 seconds no damage done , was driving again within hours.. From memory it seemed to is a little high on big rims, but aside from that I like the look, oh and I hate those fat letter MTM badges personally!
Would be interested to know what you paid for it, out of interest (PM if you don't want public) or if the previous considerably rich owner actually gave it to you

Welcome and get that 0-100 vid up. I did one in mine, 9.5 secs I think....

Wooooow ....
Re: performance pub talk
What is this obsession with pulling up new owners with the negative points on their new cars?
I cannot believe what I have read on here since I have sold this car, What ever you think of the new owner I get the feeling there is an element of "I know more about the car than you do"
that is pretty sad considering you (I cannot say we as I do not own one now) are all owners of similar cars?
An element of immaturity I feel considering the "new" owner had done his research and spoke to me directly on the phone regarding some of the history of this car and with Kim Collins and also read back through threads going back years to learn the full history of this vehicle
Opinions are personal and that does not mean your are right, but jumping down the owners throat and saying "did you know this" about the car and "did you know that" about the car is pretty immature and considering we are all supposed to be grown men makes it an embarrassing read
I suggest you go back to the conversation or repairing all your auto boxes changing the oil in them and continue your searches for a new TC and let the new owner drive his new car, after speaking to the current owner i feel his is very pleased with his new purchase and wish him all the best with his car
It is a shame "some" people on here cannot do the same

Re: performance pub talk
dunk5y , the same was done to my car when I joined if memory serves and I took it as just one of those things and at times it was useful. I didn't directly slate the car, I said that courtesy of the previous owner, it sounded like a bit of a dog.
Also, you can't deny that based on the RIP owner having photos of it on the web with a Boot full of NOS, pictures of it on fire (mild or otherwise) and information that he built it specifically for ragging around, that is going to heavily cloud most peoples opinions on the car. After seeing the pics Rob took of it on another thread, it has really grown on me (except for the wood trim
) but I still wouldn't have a manual in one regardless of the timebomb I currently have driving the wheels...
My comments about QST stay regarding their pricing, it is a shame as they would have easily had me as a customer had they not been more competitive imo.

Re: performance pub talk
Yes have read all comments from previous owner, again it comes down to opinions, I spent around £5k in the 2 years owning that car wouldn't say that is someone who had not looked after it, the previous owner admitted to me he had OCD with cars and how they should be and what condition... no one forced him to buy the car he brought it through choice, and I did remind him he was buying a 10 year old car which is exactly what it ischunky79 wrote:dunk5y wrote:What is this obsession with pulling up new owners with the negative points on their new cars?![]()

Arrogance? well It did seem the approach from both sides were negative especially when it came to informing the buyer of the "faults" in the cars history and people maybe taking great pleasure in informing him

Manual? Auto? does it matter again? personal choice and opinions, the only one that counts would be the current owners

Anyway I hope the new owner enjoys the car and as we all have been he is a little excited on his new purchase let him enjoy the moment
