MMI TV and DVD when driving.

Post by RS4_Avant » Thu May 30, 2013 1:07 pm

Hi can anybody advise on 2 points here.
1. Can i get TV reception on my MMI, i assume i need to get this programmed from a dealer.
2. Can i get the DVD to play whilst driving, it disables when the car moves. it's not for me but for my wife and kids in the car whilst i am driving.

Thanks

Not sure if it can be done on your particular unit but the ability to play video whislt moving is normally refered to as Video In Motion or VIM. Try googling your car / stereo and VIM to see what comes up.

VIM Is easy and it works a treat (Google will have the answers). Easiest way to get TV (if not factory fit), I think is a Fiscube DVB-T unit. Nearly took the plunge (about £400-500 in the UK), but decided life was too short to need TV as well as DVD in car....

I got VIM sorted the day I picked up the car. Full instructions on Audi enthusiasts site.
