RS6 Configurator

Post by RS4Guy » Fri May 24, 2013 11:53 am

Just spotted that the RS6 Configurator is now available on the Audi UK website. Bad news is that I have just spent £98,000 I don't have, without selecting ceramics, B&O or any of that active lane assist stuff.

Tried convincing myself with a little man-maths, but no! The fuel savings over my B7 don't justify the £75K differential! :boohoo:

Thankfully, I still love my RS4... :blackrs4:
Current: 2007 B7 RS4 Avant sprint blue
Current: 2004/04 TT V6 DSG dolomite with BBS LM.
Gone list: 2018 C7 RS6 Performance in Nardo, 2007 B7 RS4 Avant Phantom Black (should never have sold it), 2003/03 8N TT 225 Black, 2002 8L S3 in Silver, Morgan Aero, Renaultsport Clio, Polo Gti...

It's been up a while.

You're right the pricing is bonkers.

The pricing is a little on the high side. Could just about put a poverty spec car together with change from £90K. That requires removal of the dynamic plus package, which removes the ceramics I thought I hadn't selected, and replacing this with just the dynamic package. Could probably live without ceramics for day-to-day use. Lets be honest, you don't buy an RS6 Avant to attend lots of trackdays. I would be buying it because I need an estate, I'm a petrolhead and only have space to accomodate one car! I'm sure that MRC or someone can remove the speed limiter for a fraction of the cost if top speed bragging rights are needed.

Alternatively, would you recommend the C6 Doodlebug?

For the money buy a C6. Some good examples for 30-40k. Robust to date.

If I order a car I want what I want, as it were, if I have to start being selective over options I'd only moan about it down the line. For now I'm steering clear of the C7, I spec'd to 107k. No way I'd do that money on one of these. I'd sooner buy an R8 and an oil burner for lugging for that cash.
