Dynamic Steering

Is the dynamic steering as lousy as the Press claim?

Would those of you who have experienced both standard and dynamic please compare.

Not really but I haven't driven a std one despite doing the day at millbrook

To be fair I'm spoilt by my track car anyway.

Last week, I had a demonstrator with dynamic steering for a day, and it definitely lacked feel compared to my current B7. The variable ratio made it borderline dangerous too. Maybe you get used to it in a few weeks, but as you say, ALL the reviews advise you to avoid it and it's not likely that they are all wrong. Problem is the "sports package" includes dynamic steering so it is hard to spec a car without it.

after 1200 mile i'm getting used to the steering i tried pusing with the comfort setting but found i waas over correcting and i feel the weighted feel of the dynamic setting is ok gives it an almost old feel with no powr steering while not as good as the B7 it's still ok would i have speced it with out the steering possibly but the price for the package was a no brainer
