Erm, while I am not knowledgeable on the newer VAG engines, everything I have read on the older ones is that the ECU at least, no likey VTA valves. Uprated RECIRC is recommended every time, if you feel that you genuinely have to go 3rd party.

Are you concerned that the OE won't hold uprated boost pressure or something or you just want whooshes? While I love the big ass Turbosmart VTA valve on my Scoob, the ECU is as thick as pigpoo in comparison and doesn't really complain at all. I wouldn't put one anywhere near my VAG cars and only the S3 had a 3rd party Forge ricirc valve on her.

Will wait for someone to tell me I am talking balls as you never know with me tbh. Personally, sod the VTA and pot the money in to a kick ass uprated full exhaust system and sport cat if feeling frivolous.

You're right, they don't like VTA blow off valves. This is what I have on my 1.8t Golf http://www.forgemotorsport.com/content. ... =FMCL007PA. There is a version that part VTA and part recirculate's that don't trip the ECU but thats just for sound, nothing else.

Mark.
