But then we wouldn't talk, well we would, be just the normal b0ll0cks only though.
Are you saying there are a lot of the ''c'' words in the B7 forum?

I would say 8 hours MAX for strip and rebuild, then you have the price of the parts which could be anything.

That the best you can do Grizz? Im getting mine rebuilt by a local company here in Northern Ireland for £1900 + VAT. I had considered yourselves but i'm afraid you're very overpriced, even though you do get great reviews

Removal and refit for that inc rebuilding a gearbox ....

I think they've never done one .... Good luck with that one .

How long is a piece of string?

Depends who's doing it and what they feel like doing that day.

Bit like reconditioned engines. That's why I would only have peace of mind with a ZF / Audi re-manufactured box.

/FYI reconditioning is not the same as re-manufacturing.

There you go, at 1.43 your selector switch loom is dead!
Good video though. I would even say it is worth putting in the 'sticky' section or Footers tech area.

Wow, look at that tip. That's exactly why I would only get a factory remanufactured box - so I don't find Bob-the-Grease-Monkey's lunch wrappers in my D clutch.

What's better then?

Remanufactured or reconditioned?

This.

ZF UK will swap you a broken box for a re-manufactured box plus £2400 their way.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Remanufacturing implies a complete rebuild at the component level to the same condition as when the box was new. The term is known under the law.

Reconditioned is *not* a legal term and if you give it just a lick of paint you can claim it is reconditioned with impunity.

My tranny has just gone out on my rs6 but thankfully my extended warranty is covering a remanufactured Audi tranny and torque converter. Any chance Audi improved the remanufactured trannies like they did the torque converters.
