Any charitable wirral folk around with space for some seats?

Post by Mr Footlong » Fri May 10, 2013 12:50 pm

Hi guys

Going to spam Panda with this too but I have managed to pick up full front and rear seats for project car for less than the wiper mods on my flaming 6! Problem is that the seller is in the Wirral and I have no bloody idea how I am going to get them picked up/wrapped in plastic film on a pallet etc and then arrange to get them darn sarf to me.

Any forums guys up that way regularly that could possibly do me a massive favour with any of the needs above? The seats are lightweight STI ones if it helps.

Thanks in advance,

Nick :)

Stretch, I can't do it this weekend but I might be able to do it next weekend. I can take them to work and pack them up for you then if you want.

Sorry for not replying sooner guys. I messaged Panda earlier but she hasn't read it yet. Dunc, that is a hell of the trip for you dude (that and if you go in the 6 the fuel bill will cost close to what the entire set of seats cost, loving how cheap all Scooby stuff is compared to what we are used to paying for this VAG stuff!)

If I have no luck and you are around and really think you could go to all that trouble for me I would forever be in your debt (nothing sexual unless it involves fulfilling Mrs Chunk of course). Costs would be paid but seriously, don't feel that you need to!

I will let you know as soon as I know more, thanks again :)

I didn't notice your reply Nick. I would go in the works van so nooooo cost at all. Only a couple of hours away and I'm sure the wife would happily go to Cheshire Oaks shopping!

Guys, this could work out nicely!

Lee, how close do you think you may be passing by Chunk's neck of the woods? The sexual chemistry that you 2 have on here may also be there if you met up lol ;). Don't want to put anyone out really so thinking about the options. Swanny, what day are you picking up beast? Not sure I can get to Lakeside in the next couple of weeks sadly, getting Chemo'd on Thursday so will be in a bit of state next weekend :(.

Going to see if the guy can at least get them dropped off at Unit 20, as long as Grizz doesn't mind and they don't get dirty!!!

Kisses, you guys are awesome.

We doing ADI again this year? I know I nearly had us all thrown out, and the orgainsers told PhilT off us, but I'll be good this time.

The wirrals not far from unit 20 is it? I do t mind having a trip to pick it up if they can't get it to grizzs. If they can drop it off, it could go straight in the back of the car to keep it clean.

And I'll drop it off anywhere! If you want me to pop by chunks it's not a problem, if it helps I have a very clean storage area at my house I could store the interior, I often make the venture to lakeside, or if I'm brave I do venture over the other side of the bridge to blue water!

I know chemos a bugger, dads on his fourth session, it's knocking the crap out if him( literally!) but if I can help any way then I will.

Don't, some of the constipation is beyond a joke. 11th session of 16 is on Thursday. Have a chest infection that won't go away and sound like a toad when I talk but not telling the hospital as I have been turned away so many times from chemo for minor <beep> now it pisses me off.

Just called the guy with the seats and it is going to be a bit awkward for him to get them to Unit 20 but I have asked him to see what he can do and to let me know. If it wouldn't be massively out of your way to meet up with Dunc if convenient to both of you I really think that would be the best way forward. Dunc has the means to get it assembled well enough for me to arrange collection etc by the sound of it. Again, can't thank you guys enough.

Amar, it was us hounding and hounding you and friend to come in to the dinner, you didn't screw things up at all and you know it, we were the troublemakers. I genuinely don't know if we will be allowed back to the Gala Dinner this year or not, you do remember how loud our table was and our quiz answers yes? Well, I was well behaved at least.....

I am up for it, even if it just so I can get the last quite in the place again to relegate Chunk to the boiler room like last year, poor bastad ;)

As for being told off by PhilT, I don't listen to anyone that is smaller than me, so that is 99.5% of the world population then.
