Hi guys

Not much more news, but what there is, is good!

First - Tracker works! And the police acted really quickly as far as I can tell - immediate response as soon as it popped up on the system - well done our boys in blue!

Looks like the SOCO's can't clear the car before the weekend so it gets a police guard till Monday at least.

They also confirmed that the car has no exterior damage, and given where it was found, and the lack of traces on systems I am reasonably sure it was only driven the five miles or so from where it was stolen and then locked in a garage. I suspect they wouldn't have wanted to draw too much attention to themselves so it probably hasn't even been stretched!!

Don't know yet whether my iPod and Road Angel are still there, but some things are replaceable!

Will post more next week when I have her back - for now I'll just have to play on the twisties in my Focus ST!!

Dave

PS - it was the 05 Misano Avant on Autotrader - looked like a nice clean example, 55K miles - I'm kind of sad not to be going after it now!! Still perhaps I'll give mine a present for coming home - wonder what's next on my list - apart from a new set of locks!!

I'm so glad I was wrong with that ebay listing. Great news and something we don't hear often enough when one of our babies goes missing. All just in time for a good bank holiday weekend too. :biggrin3:

No idea and no idea. I did think about this when I was doing just below nsl the other day and then thought, ahh life's too short to worry and went even faster. Thing is, in this world we live in you are constantly tracked via your mobile phone and your speed can be worked out via that, if someone wants to screw you over then it will be done!!

Some insurance companies in Ireland (at least used to) offer reduced insurance premium rates if you volunteer to put one of "their" trackers in your car. Constantly updates them of your speed, location etc. and very handy if your car stolen. Must be smilar schemes in UK, right?

Glad to hear that you got your car back, also has me thinking now of installing a tracker. Hope your car is untouched, unstripped and as lovely as you last saw it.
