There used to be an independent VAG specialist on Slyfield, but I have never used them and forget their name.
There is also a VAG specialist in West Byfleet, but they aren't very cheap. I forget their name but they are in the small trading estate between scotland bridge and the railway bridge. First building on the right as you enter the road.

I can give you the number of a good cheap mechanic in Cranleigh. He is not an Audi specialist, just someone I've used in the past for my cars when needing wheel bearings etc doing at a sensible price.

John - that would be useful as I'm close to Cranleigh. I assume he's done a good job for you in the past ?

A tip for you if you need any tyres is a new chap trading as TLC Tyre and Exhaust. He's behind the Ford Garage in Cranleigh and did me 4*P6000s at £100 each fully fitted. I know that's not as cheap as Bracknell Tyres and Micheldever but it's the cheapest I found in in the local area.

A+H Autos are the firm John is thinking off. As you come on to Slyfield you turn left by Vauxhall and follow the road round. go past Chambers waste disposal and they are on the right hand side in a small unit.

Stan,

did you get my PM with the chap's details ?

Thanks for the heads-up on the tyre place.
Wish I'd had a look before buying a new set of boots recently.
Cheapest place I can find locally is Martins tyres in West End, just the other side of Knaphill. Their number is in the book (or try www.eyp.co.uk)

Thanks for filling in the missing info Ashley.

Cheers,
John.
