Audi Connect

Having got the new toy I’ve started playing with the toys I have Audi connect and registered on My Audi then installed a data sim which all seemed easy Google maps mobile Wi-Fi but it then threw my phone out and I could not send or receive calls via the car hands free .
Has anyone else set up this system and if so have I missed something on the set up I have reads the instructions over and over but can’t see where I have gone wrong

I think it's one or the other. If you use a data SIM card it then tries to use that for phone calls and rejects the Bluetooth connection. It should be able to use data on your phone over Bluetooth if it isn't an iPhone. iPhones don't support rSAP, the protocol to access data over Bluetooth.

yes the more i trawl the net is seems to be the case you can't have thw audi connect working and also be paired to the handsfree pants

I just put the sim from my phone into the car when I need Audi connect. Then again it doesn't copy my phone book over as its all saved to my phone and not the sim.

I have something similar to this system in my B7, it's done by switching my iPhone personal hotspot on and the kids signing in with the wifi.

But seriously, have you tried getting a duplicate SIM card, all the providers do it.
