Really, I'd never noticed any exhaust differences, is it just the finishers that have changed with the slightly different under bumper / plastic diffuser styling

They have slighty bigger circumference tail pipes and different rear diffuser. See here:

I only noticed when mine was parked next to a pre-FL.

Good spot! I knew the bumper had changed but never noticed the pipes

Must admit to preferring the rear diffuser on the pre-FL. They need that vertical bar next to each exhaust. Looks better.

I prefer the meshed diffusers on the TDI and TFSIs personally.

Ive got pre facelift but prefer the facelift diffuser those extra ridges frame the exhausts and makes it more chunky looking.
