Mad dash to the Ring

Post by PhilT » Fri Mar 07, 2003 3:08 pm

Had a silly idea....

Hoverspeed are offering day returns (24hrs between leaving and returning) from Dover to Calais for £25 during March.

Here are the opening times for the Ring:
16 su 9.00 - 18.00
17 mo 13.00 - 18.30
18 tu 17.45 - 18.30
19 we 17.45 - 18.30
20 th 17.45 - 18.30
21 fr 14.15 - 18.30
23 su 8.30 - 18.30
24 mo 13.00 - 18.30
25 tu 17.45 - 18.30
26 we 17.45 - 18.30
27 th 17.45 - 18.30
29 sa 18.00 - 19.00
30 su 8.00 - 19.00
31 mo 13.00 - 19.00

Plan: Get crossing early in morning, drive straight to the Ring, spend day/afternoon at ring, drive back to Calais, stay overnight pick up some booze and get crossing back again.....

Anyone interested?

I would probably go as a passenger (want to keep the miles down at the mo).
I could even navigate AROUND Brussels

Right this is going to happen
PhilT and i will stay overnighton Sunday 23rd in Dover (we could arrange a RS246 meet that night )
Then get the £25 crossing on the seacat, be in Calais for 9.00am four hours to Nurburgring, on the Nordschliefe by 1.30pm all afternoon of the 24th March ,stay until closing 6.00pm, the drive as far as we can back towards Calais, and stay overnight, get some booze then come back following morning
So who else wants to come
Andy great way of runnung the car in
