looking to buy rs4

hi all new to the forum , time has come to get me an rs4 , had alook at a few i no iam not buying a new car and it will be a bit of a money pit,can any body throw me some areas to look at when buying , had alook at one today ive heard about the cams they did sound tapy all help greatly appreciated
