He has been doing a lot of trips to the petrol station, I know that.

You're going to be sorry you asked.

This is how it looks now.

Chunky is right. I've done 2k miles and would only have had it a month tomorrow. So that's way over a grand of fuel in less than a month!

It's getting loads of attention, too.

Took it to work and went to grab lunch, the guys at the Audi dealer have lunch in the same place and usually ignore me them being in their TT/A4 demos and me in my poverty Citroen. But I caught them admiring the C6, so had a chat with the Audi sales execs who asked for my card and called me at Citroen later so we can arrange me to have a look at the C7 when it comes in.

Then the guys at Citroen crowded around it and all asked for rides 'must be about 380 BHP eh?' I didn't reply, just floored it!

Then I went to this old back street garage to get a duplicate MOT cert for an old Punto I'd bought as a daily pre company car days, again, a small crowd were outside admiring the car when I came out. As I drove off I heard one say 'feck me look at the brakes'.

I have started to feel the weight now, it's an elephant. But that doesn't matter.

I love the gearbox, the changes are so smooth and fast I go all 'ooh' at every change and 'ooh yeahh' when it does the sonic boom on full throttle.

In short, I LOVE it.

It does look lovely. But why is it parked on your patio? If it was summer I'd understand... gotta take the car ot a BBQ but in the middle of winter?

Car patio thing is too long and boring to worth explaining. In short, the car is safest and totally hidden there whilst my garage door is broken, and it's not where I live or where the V5 is registered to. Call me paranoid but I've had a car stolen in the past.

It's going to MRC tomorrow, health check and possible dyno run, the Milltek is also leaking exhuast gasses so that will be sorted.

Daytona - It's been detailed by a Swissvax guy, and maintained by me using the two bucket method, the shaggiest and softest sheepskin wash mit and pat dried using a drying towel. It's swirl free.

Had it on the dyno and it made 760PS today, and hit 50k. That's the same mileage my C5 had when I sold it at nearly 9 years old vs this at 3 years old.
