Custom zorst fitted today..wow!!!

Well guys

Finally got my custom zorst manufactured an fitted today.

Thanks P-G for the recommendation!!!!

All I can say is wow!!!!!!

The difference is night and day....I drove home literally laughing out loud.

A different zorst is a MUST IMO after today for any C6 RS6?

I've been blasting about in manual and using the paddles just to hear it for two hours now and have nearly emptied my tank...this is going to be an expensive mod long term..lol

Any way down to business.....

My system is identical to trups, same size tips, back boxes etc

It looks ace ovals really fill the openings in bumper and rear silencers are hidden out of sight...NOT like a milltek.

The noise on tickover is defo louder very Lamborghini esc...pulled into garage for fuel and everyone looks around!!!..sounded great ticking over...not chavvy but very purposefull.

The "sonic booms" are louder and the popping on the over run is sublime!!

You really notice how conservative the OEM system is once its gone,the clips of aftermarket zorst on you tube don't do it justice either, so much better in the flesh?

It really does sound now like a V10 it's almost RS4 in its delivery of the noise now? It's great just blipping along in second and third listening to it?...you couldn't do that on the standard system at all.

It's not at all boomy on motorway as I've just drove 40 mile on A1 getting up to "decent" speed to check..all is well.

I haven't removed any cats and unless you want crazy power there's no mess IMO it really sounds that good.

Anyway it's dark now so il try and get some pics up later in week and maybe a sound bite too?

A defo mod as far as I'm concerned.

Glad you like it Chris, the quality of materials, design, fabrication and welding has always been better than of the shelf systems and Stuart knows what he is doing. I'll listen out for a howling V10 from now on

Be interesting to hear the difference between this and a Milltek system. I have a Milly on mine but although its louder than standard, not hard, I'm sure it can sound better!

Awesome Chris.

Spray the inside of the pipes matt black, if you go halfords you can get the hammerite matt black stuff, can take upto 500 degree's.

wait till the pipes have worn in and it will just start getting better and better.

Had a good play tonight...it's unreal sooooo much better than OEM.

A must mod for any RS6 enthusiast!!

When you lift off on the overun it sounds like a mini boom/flutter!!!!

On closer look underneath I haven't got the bends you have Trups??...my pipes shoot from centre of car to each back box at 45degress?? Il post a pic when it stops snowing.

This set up has got rid of all the bends etc on OEM system....car feels so much smoother and seems to pull harder? Be interesting to see as I believe Trups system have him 35 bhp alone!!!!!

I am just going to let the carbon mucky up the tubes where they come through the ovals....but keep the ovals polished approx 2 inch in...if that makes sense?

I would never go back to OEM zorst now ever!!!!!

There's guys on here running mapped cars on OEM zorst....guys it's a must to get this set up!!

I know that little flutter/mini boom, i always thought it was cool lol but think that may be normal on mods as the stock pipes didnt do that.

Mine come right back to the diff then a 90degree turn going upwards slightly then into the box.

i tried keeping my pipes clean but the salt took them, i will take them off when it warms and put a polishing Mop to them to bring them back up.

Mine has been Audi twice and they have said nothing about it and both times i claimed for warrenty on some stuff.

Yep mine was 589hp and then went to 618 hp with the cats out and pipes.

Very nice Chris, very nice

Mine with a Milltek doesn't flutter/boom like that so it would seem this custom system releases a bit more noise
