Hope so! I'll check that tonight. Got the F125 today, will be fitting it tomorrow hopefully and then fingers crossed i'll be getting the ABS unit repaired next week by BBA Reman UK.

Interesting stuff on gear box I think mine is on the way out going to get it checked tomorrow. It would seem even if the gear box sounds like a box of spanners and is pretty much shot it may still show no error codes. Keeping my fingers crossed. How do Audi sleep at night knowing they built a 60k car with a Toys R us gear box. Now costing good honest owners a fortune.

Quick one guys; my younger bro picked up the part for me today from TPS.

The box looks a bit shabby so here are some photos of the part.

Is the finish meant to be like this and is this the right part? The tatty box is making me think someones returned it? Am i just being paranoid lol!

Sid, there should be a date of manufacture on the part / box, could be old stock.

That's almost certainly what's happened. Doesn't mean it's a bad part though, and if it fails, Audi will replace it including labour.

No expiry date Sid, the date of manufacture on the box is 19/10/2011, there's sometimes the same on the part itself.

All done, fault cleared and not returned.

Don't know if it's me imagining it but the gear changes do feel a bit smoother.

Cheers guys!
