It's not just for track use though.

I've got my ADS setup (via VCDS) so that it defaults to Individual setting. When I get in the car the engine, steering and suspension are to my settings. When the wife uses her key it's all set to comfort.

It means the car is two in one.

Of course if you gonna be the only driver I guess there's less benefit and that's why these things are options. Some suit some people and not others.

With regards Meteor Grey - I had it for 6 months. In the sun I liked it. It came out in green/purple hues etc but on the more common grey UK days I felt it looked drab and boring. When I changed the car after 6 months it was a great chance to change the colour.

Again it's horses for courses. Depends what you like as an individual. :beerchug:

nicky with the cayman S I would say it would spank a RS4 on a dry twisty road if both were driven by equally skilled drivers, stupendous grip and thrust from it's flat 6 and great balance. RS4 better at everything else, damp roads, wet roads, snow, practicality and ohh that V8 :jump_clap:
I am keen to drive the S4 for comparison but they sound very good indeed, I will let you know what I think.
When I say dash, it was a straight line dash. I wasn't silly enough to try and take him on the bends so backed off.

Scotty fair play mate, it really tends to be the suspension adjustment that people see some benefit from. My Cayman S had PASM and sports chrono fitted and you could tell a difference in the ride when the shocks were in full sports mode for sure. After an initial play around with this I set it to auto and never touched it again as in every day driving there was just no point. Glad the mrs likes it, no surprise she went for comfort mode, females have better sense than us lads :)
Nicky, well that was sensible mate and remember it's no mean feat being able to keep with a Cayman S whether it's on a straight road or otherwise, fast little cars, and being able to stay within touching distance in a four door, pactical, luxury saloon or avant................... awesome, which ever way you cut it

Yes exactly right. With a stage 1 tune I would have killed him but then if if if . . .

I was chuckling for the same reasons you mentioned, estate car giving a sports car a good run.

Talking about that stage 1 tune, getting an extra 130bhp from a £750 tune must be some kind of record
How long has this tune been around and have any gearboxes or engines blown up yet as a result? Does the manual handle this better?

I think the manual gives better peak figures. If this makes a difference in the real world I don't know. The shift it so quick in the auto that it may counteract the extra power.

I haven't read of any S4 owners having problems with their tunes.

The S4 must be seriously quick tuned like this, have MRC made comparisons against other cars like the RS4 or M3?
Thought the manual would be better, it's very tempting but the insurance can be a pain

MRCs does 0-60 in 3.5s so it's seriously quick. I assume this has had a lot more than just a tune though. Probably the full works.

3.5s to 60  That is seriously quick, 911 Turbo beating quick 8)

Guys quick question, the car I'm buying has been serviced as I asked the guy to do this before I bought it and even although it's on long life servicing I'm surprised that they did not change the oil! The car has covered only about 8k since it's last service but that was 15 months ago??? Surely the oil should have been changed?
Just want to check as I know the oil costs a fortune and my agreement was for the car to be properly serviced.

Of course they changed the oil

If they didn't change the oil then wtf did they do? Wipe it down with a wet flannel and kiss it goodnight?

Blackphantom thanks for the link, explains it for me.
D_K well to be honest that is exactly it, all they have done is an inspection service resulting in the pollen filter being replaced. As far as I can tell that is it, I'm struggling to see the point of it, although surely they must have checked all fluid levels and quality, etc?

mojo that would seem sensible but at the moment I would be happy resolving the lost key issue I'm now having. Does anyone think I'm being unreasonable asking for him to cover this? Had I gone into it knowing then my call but to find out at the eleventh hour is frustrating
