Re: Time warp
Hahaha.
I can get the same car 5k cheaper. A lot of these jap import places just advertise cars for sale on t'interweb.
I used to import cars before the Yen went sstupidly strong against the pound. In 2009 i could import a 1999 GTR with 500HP for 30k OTR. But not now.

I love drag racing and track racing. I have had many fast cars and below is a short list of the ones most memorable.
MR2 Turbo REV2 (standard) > MR2 Turbo REV1 300HP> MR2 Turbo REV3 450HP (Nick Name Biscuit tin) > Celica GT4 ST205 WRC 300HP > R32 GTR 425HP > Honda Integra DC2 (standard) > EVO GSR 300HP > R32 GTR 450HP
Now on the hunt for an RS6

I just love that this one is showroom fresh. Would be nice to have the cash to buy it and stash it.

Re: Time warp
The best thing anyone can do is buy an R32 GTR. Spend about 10k getting a minter and when the US markets open for them, which I think they will be able to be imported legally there when they are 25 years old.
The price will rocket for one.
But back to your original post......yeah the car is amazing. If I didnt need 4 doors this is what I would get.

Time warp
Why are US markets closed to them?
Re: Time warp
There are some very tough regs on performance car imports, the "Autos of Interest" and "Show and Display" laws have helped relax the situation but these don't make sense for lower value cult cars. Read up on the infamous "Gates 959".gangstarrrrr wrote:Why are US markets closed to them?
No matter where you go, there you are.
