Your right Mike it is a straight (ish) bit of pipe that any place could make.

Infact i looked at this as it was also cheaper than paying just to have Milltek stamped on it, However a 2nd hand set popped up making it a similar price.

PG I guess as with any exhaust mapping would assist on making the most out of it and that is the plan eventually. I'm not sure if the RS4's 2nd cats are monitored but if so then as you know it'd need the emissions lights turning off.

The 2 nd cat on the RS3 does look like a cat..... It's just playing the part of an expensive centre res pipe! Perhaps it was fitted as an after thought to bring emissions down further?

keep us updated as I am interested in this mod, If its not monitored by a censor and theres no software update I cant see how audi would have any grounds to void the warranty

I'm also toying with the idea of one if these. Is it a worthwhile mod?

In a word yes. Subtle, gives more noise but is not raspy unlike some of the cat back exhausts I have seen / heard and at just over £200 a bargain for that little extra volume.

Cheers P_G!

Does it add any bhp, or more importantly, take any away? Is a retune needed? Any warranty issues?

Only just done 1500 miles so haven't put my car on a dyno as yet and am probably not the right person to ask about taking away power as I had it fitted within 100 miles of new. As for warranty given their position post sensors and how they are set up they look like an after thought to further reduce emmissions and the only thing post them is the cat back exhaust so I can't see what could be voided under warranty apart form the cat back but if something went wrong with that I'd change it to after market anyway. If you have acces to axle stands at home you could even change out and back to OEM before it went into Audi if you were being super cautious.

I'd be interested also if you could give a price?

Also, sorry for being dumb, but what is the benefit of this?
