*Sigh*. Muppets. My experience today tells me that TerraClean most certainly does not work.
I'm now more concerned why I'm only getting 345hp (350ps?).
Meh, it's way past beer'o clock - I'll worry about it tomorrow

Whose to say it won't work if a way of getting into the system is found?
There must be a way surely?

Dyno dynamics rollers are notorious for reading low I wouldn't worry too much, I made just over 400hp with a supercharger fitted!!

It doesn't work in the sense that I wasted half a day farting around with local franchisee, I value my time quite highly
If anyone else can be arsed having a go I'm interested to see results, but it would have to be damn impressive evidence for me to drive to a different area to find another franchise. The engineer guy I spoke to at the UK distributor last week was a dick also, sounded like Gareth Cheeseman.

Why can you not disconnect the fuel feed to the injector rail and plug that straight into the return? Wouldn't need to pull out the fuse then? Plug in this <beep> to the FPR and away you go??

terraclean intake valve cleaner, says manifold off and applied directly on valves
http://terraclean.net/product.php?id=54
via vaccum or intake
http://terraclean.net/product.php?id=16
It is applied using the TerraClean Pressurized Induction Tool through the Air Induction System or through a vacuum line.
thru the fuel system method should not do much, as DI is the root cause of the deposits, ie, no fuel on valves to wash clean, but it is injected into the cylinder

It’s unfortunate that you took it along to a bunch of muppets Tony who frankly should have known better (they should of researched the RS4 before you got there).
Although without a borescope down the plug hole to take before and after photos I feel you would have left feeling a bit cheated away, sure you would of seen some increase, but I feel the majority of the carbon build up would still have been on the back of the inlet valves.

This was my understanding all along, but thought maybe you guys knew something that I didn't.

I think adsgreen had a point on this though iirc. If the deposits have been made due to combustion, then the same combustion could deposit something else?? Dunno, I'm a complete novice in such matters. But like I said in the first post, I'm pretty skeptical it would make a significant difference. Thought it would be interesting to do a before/after test.
LOL that Arthur found instructions for the RS4. I think I may have had a lucky escape with these guys. Checked my engine bay to make sure everything went back where it should have been.

The guy who owned my car before me had a dyno test before having the heads removed and cleaned by hand.it ran 355hp before the clean then 405hp after.this is my second RS4 and its MUCH faster than the first, can really tell the difference.
when you get your x-pipe done dont suppose i could have a listen to it could i?thinking of doing it but im unsure if il like the sound or not.

Kudos for trying. I'd have happily paypal'd you a tenner should you do it again.
Also, the dyno dynamics... Does that measure wheel horsepower or crank horsepower? If it's crank you should do an Arthur test (official name) so we can see if it's really that dire (-80hp) or if the car just didn't like the dyno.
I can tell you that those crank numbers are like a stock b7 s4 and to cover 5000 rpms in third would take the s4 about 10 seconds whereas it takes the rs4 a little over 8
