Loads of snow on the way, unlucky BMW drivers!
Loads of snow on the way, unlucky BMW drivers!
BBC weather website is suggesting lots of snow due from Friday depending where you are. For me in basingrad it's suggested snow from 8am Friday to 9pm Saturday! Blizzard conditions, up to 10-15cm I saw this morning.
If it happens there is gonna be a few beemers in ditches, stuck at the bottom of hills and generally floundering about like Louis Spence on speed
FIRE UP THE QUATTRO!

When you see the news reports on telly of somewhere with heavy snow and abandoned cars, it's always Beemers in the ditch or sliding in slow motion sideways down the street
My 320 Touring's bloody useless in snow, though I fitted a set of winter tyres last year and it's a whole lot better. Still not great though
one reason why it'll be sold in the spring.

My old Z4 coupe was a real handful pre RS4.
Two bags of sand in the boot helped quite a bit but at the end of the day, when that back end went I was more a passenger than a driver!
Avis got good business from me those two winters...

Haha I went out specially Sunday night to fill up in case I needed it all this week. I seldom use the quattro for work (once a month, maybe twice if I go straight to the MK meet from the office) but this week its been superb in the ice and snow. It really does make this kind of weather easy, and with the V8 it warms up super quick too!amanda1 wrote:My Beemer is sat on my drive and won't be going anywhere soon! My little Ibiza is fun on ice. A different kind of fun that requires gloves and down jackets. Back into the RS4 tomorrow. Can't wait!Ian_C wrote:[…]It really does make this kind of weather easy, and with the V8 it warms up super quick too!
