I wanted to sign up for the SPA track day and got an email reply saying only "class B" was available. Does anyone know what this class is and what type cars are in it?
Would this class be OK for someone with pro racing experience and an RS6?

Thats probably about right, in a conversation with JR last week he confirmed that we (RS246) all pay on the day.

I'm getting quite excited.................. :nodder:

JohnRS4...Just checking up on this....you have booked your Ferry right ??

If not, I'd get on it sharpish ! - the prices were going up when I checked last week!

Apologies if it's all sorted...just don't want anyone left behind!

Im sure that most of us are in the advanced section as no more spaces were left in the beginners and intermediate sections, but we will be with Porkers and Rahrees, and it should be quite nice in amongst that lot

Just received an email from Mark Duez. Cos I am fik and only got a "c" grade in Frog O level at Skool and it was twenty years ago, would anyone care to translate :?
Chers amis,

A bientôt

Marc DUEZ

Is there a problem here? Some words obviously I understand. Is it a request for cash to confirm bookings?

Due to a surge in the waiting list, the mail asks for either a wire transfer of 100 euros or your sending a mail to confirm your attendance.

This applies TO ALL DRIVERS of RS246.com so please don't take a risk by not sending a mail, each of you.

Cheers,

Eric

Not wanting to muddy any waters here, but I found the 'wire transfer' format a bit confusing.
Can we ask Marc to confirm who he understands is attending ?

I'm willing to pay upfront, but need easy instructions ?

Is it only me

(sorry if my previous reply wasn't clear)

I realize it's an additional hassle, he might be overdoing it, but I can understand he wants to have 100% capacity used too (probably had bad experience in the past).
And I'd rather have him be over-zealous about attendees than the morons at the Challenge laid-back attitude "oops, sorry, we said one thing but did another, screw you..."
Anyway ... :D

His message in French asks to EITHER wire 100euro deposit OR send a mail, just for the sake of confirmation.
(that second option is probably there just for the non-Euro folks btw)

So all you need to do is SEND A MAIL to info@marc-duez.be :D

I've made a pre-formed text you can copy and paste :

==========
Subject : Confirmation SPA 23/10/04 (group RS246.com)

" Bonjour,

Suite à votre message du 4/10/04.

Je m'appelle (insert your full name) et je vous confirme ma participation au Test-Day de Spa le 23/10/04, en catégorie Expert, groupe RS246.com.

Comme convenu, je paierai la totalité du montant sur place et en liquide (note : this means u'll pay all on the spot and cash).

Cordialement,

(insert your name again :D )
====================

We're almost there :beerchug:

PS : for the sake of it, you can also cc Frederic.FLAGOTHIER@spa-francorchamps.be (he was cc-ed on Marc's mail)
Marc organizes the event, Frederic is the SPA event manager
