Happy to oblige! Not the best pics, as they were just a couple taken with my phone at the dealers. I'll get better ones at the weekendNickyboy wrote:Not without pics.

Wowser, that's some wait! I kind of did the exact opposite. Decided to go look at one last Saturday (3 month old demo), more to just test drive it than buy.mgoliveruk wrote:Better enjoy it... Have ordered it 5 months, 11 days and 6 hours ago....
Ended up buying it and pick it up 6 days later! Oh so impatiant

Potential new order
Someone get him a gold star
How long was it from actually putting an order in the system to delivery??
I could put a deposit down now on the 2020 RS 4, I'm sure a dealer would accept it...

Congrats 999pooch! What's it like assuming you've been cruising in a nice new S4?

TBH, I didn't get much driving done on Friday. I basically just drove it back in traffic, nose to tail all the way.
Today I managed to get a better drive, albeit with swmbo & daughter as passengers. Not as bad as it sounds as both are fairly cool when I make progress through slower traffic
I have to say the car looked better than I remembered, I think Monsoon grey really suits the car against the silver trim / mirrors. The B&O sounds are epic, and after a much tweaking sound even better now!
Amongst other things I found the car had both back & front parking sensors (only expected back), and the AMI (didn't know it was added), so a couple of nice surprises.
Without going into too much detail, I am just really impressed with the refined, unfussed way the S4 goes about its business. I had a stage 1 Octavia vRS previously, & it was a quick car. But it had to be driven fast, always needing driver input, and always had a sense of speed. The S4 is seriously quick, but doesn't feel it. The car is unbelieveably capable and flatters the driver. I know just from driving the last couple of days I feel more confident & relaxed when pushing on.
As far as the Quattro is concerned....wow! I know some of you guys are old hands when it come to this. But I've had FWD cars for the last 10years and have put up with the scrabble for traction everytime it rains / gets a bit greasy. Had a couple of squirts from standing starts and love it, it just goes. No Drama!
Still playing with the gearbox, had a first play with manual (mainly using it for engine braking). Then playing with sport / drive. As a city driver I know I'm going to love the S-tronic
Summarising my first 100 miles then.....I love it, and so does the wife (&daughter).
Piccies to follow as soon as the weather allows
