Design flaws

Post by Batfinnk » Fri Dec 28, 2012 3:27 pm

Ok, so a slightly different question.

What minor things on your cars irritates you? I'm not talking about drc issues and the big stuff but the silly little bits. Not really faults but just things that don't go how you like them to. May sound silly but one of mine is the way the climate unit seems to think it knows better than me as to what fan speed to set and wants to argue with me about it. :bash:
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.
Previous car: 2005 S4 B7.

+1. I hate how it doesn't start as you left it either. If you press the windscreen blower button then it decides it must pump it out as hard as possible.

Music on when you start the car even if it was off the last time you used the car, head light washers activating and spraying the bonnet when you've used your windscreen washers 5 times when your lights are on auto.

The fog lights!!!

Genuinely useless having them when the main beams can't be switched off.

All I get when driving through fog is even MORE whitewall effect. The foglights on my old Volvo and in classic Jaguars would only turn on AFTER the main beams were switched off. Dramatic difference, entirely useful. Don't see any reason to have foglights on my 6, they're too bright to be driving lights and ineffective when I actually need them.

Can't understand what AUDI were thinking......... Is there a setting I need to change maybe?

Cheap and nasty hinge on the armrest and a weedy rear screen wash that barely covers half of the back window (despite a new nozzle)
