Iphone 4s BT connection - help please

I have just picked up an MY07 RS4 Avant and am awaiting the manuals to be forwarded. i currently have no instructions for the in car sat nav system (RNS-E).
I've searched though the forum and just got more confused about if I can even pair my phone with the car. I turn on the ignition and then turn on the BT on my phone but it just searches and searches, not finding anything. If I hit the TEL button, it just says "no phone installed". I have reset the setting on the set up screen but can't find anything concerning connection, pin activation and so on. The car has no phone cradle in it and I was wondering if it even has a BT function available. Anyone able to shed some light or suggest another option.

BT was an option... if you don't have a cradle either on the dash or the armrest then strong chance no bluetooth module installed.

Thanks, probably not installed then. Any preferred method to install bluetooth? Parrot as good as any?

Speak to Craig from www.tclsatnav.com

No one knows Audi electronics/Bluetooth/satnav/BT like him. Have used him in the past to retrofit Bluetooth High on an A5 and he was brilliant.

I had craig install a genuine Audi BT interface and denson 100 to my A4 - Craig is the nuts. Get in touch - he will rock up in fully loaded Q7 and install the BT module in no time. He's from up North [not sure where you are] - but comes down south regularly - I met him at bluewater in the carpark!

I've kept his details handy as I expect I will need him again if my plan to move to a RS4 falls through
