Has anyone launched the car whilst in manual, either intentionally or unintentionally? If so, what were the results?

Can you launch in manual? I thought it was only in 'S' on the box

Page 84 of my handbook says "S" mode or the Tiptronic position (which I presume is manual mode).

IV launched the TTRS and accidentally hit a paddle...just remember to shift up or you'll bounce off the limiter and look like a fool!

I'd love to try launch but the opportunity combined with this crappy weather means it's a bit of a no go presently.

I can launch mine in manual however the paddles don't react quick enough meaning you bounce off the limiter! Have tried it a couple of times now and perfected it, you need to tug the up shift at 6200rpm, it then grabs the next cog at 7100.....feels awesome. Launch control with you calling the shots.

Think I have a peculiarity with the box in general as I can start mine without feet on the pedals.

Normally you need to have food on brake to start the car in a modern auto audi

I get the message at first ignition turn stating 'foot on brake to start' but I can start it without feet on any pedal.......
