Bent Hard Wheels

Just thought I'd let you know that hard wheels do also bend. After 20 soft ones, finally my hard wheels arrived. Not to worry, just 1 week later I bent a hard one. Luckily I had 4 spare soft wheels lurking at home so swapped an old one on, and low and behold, that bent within 2 days also.

Good news is that Audi UK have agreed to replace the hard wheel under warranty.

I believe that Audi will replace the new hard wheels under warranty. But only for 2 years. After that your on your own.

Well I found out today that RS6 wheels are also bendy! not good! Both my front wheels are bent. I thought it was just a balancing weight had come off one of the wheels but they are bent one worse than the other. [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]Good one Audi!

3 of my S3 wheels also bent, and these are supposed to be a different compound to the Rs4 ones

Having gone through 4 soft wheels in January alone I've had the hard ones fitted, no problems yet!

Dean, Its not just the compound it is the profile on your rims that make them stronger

11 soft ones bent in 6 months. BBS CH for one year without any deformity

2 RS4s in Australia had the new rims bent. One hit a large pothole and was charged for it, the other did nothing special and bent all 4. Got free replacement.

Thanks for the advice Ken, I would use the heil, except it was in for a bent blade (I seem to bend everything - not my fault really) Now its back out (oh i got a bigger one) and had 180mph ground speed in a straight line out of it the other day.

Are you going to Le Mans this year?

On my RS4 I went through a few wheels can't quite remember how many! ...and 2 on my RS6 - now replaced!
