No S-tronic
DRC is an option
Sports diff is an option
20PS less than the V10
only 100KG weight saving

will it map to 700PS ? lets say it maps to 650PS

700PS @ 2000KG vs. 650PS @ 1900KG
350PS per Ton vs. 342PS per tonne

decent optioned new one at £90k vs. mint C6 at £40k ....

I reckon decent spec will be nearer 100k....

Gearbox is an interesting one.

I actually think this may aid prices on C6.

Loving this. The wheel arches are back to the B5 / C5 / B7 shape.

Also - just spotted this in the small print...

"Factory towbar bracket preparation "

Fantastic. :bigblink:

Well - brochures available in March 2013 they say... Customer deliveries July '13 onwards.

I hope you can all form an orderly queue...

I was thinking the same but from a V10 point of view. The C6 will have the rep of the bonkers engine of the RS range and that should help in the desirability stakes.

Although even with it's lower power it's significantly quicker stock than the C6 so 650 in the new one against 700 in the old one, it's still going to walk away with ease.

Will be interesting to see what the tuners offer but i'd agree that 650 is more likely than 700+ without parting with significant ££'s. Let's not forget that on paper the 420ps C7 S6 is quicker that a stock C6 RS6 & that's over 150ps shy.

The S6s 420 horses do seem incredibly - almost suspiciously - healthy..... although as mentioned the DSG must help in setting the awesome performance figures.

But you bought a C6 for that reason though Dave, or are you saying that now due to that experience?

It's not all about the bhp, and I would not worry about the kg if the car is properly engineered.

The original RS6, and IMO the best so far, is 1840 kg with 450 bhp.

I'll pass on the V10 C6, because my experience was not good.

I've currently got a 500 bhp Cayenne weighing 2170 kg. I know it is a different type of motor car, but it is hugely capable & knows how to deliver the power.

So if Audi get the new RS6 engineered properly, weight and bhp working in harmony could produce a winner.

Loving the new RS6 bit dissapointed on bhp thats what RS audis are all about blasting AMG AND M5 out the way going mad like the e46 m3 and rs4 m3 had 330 340 ish bhp RS4 HAD 450BHP mad but how we like it the car looks very nice will be built good but will have to take some doing to make me Let go of C6 RS6 it all depends on when we actually get some proper reviews on the car and the potential of the new V8 will it be capable of getting good power out of a map ? ! and would like to see some more photos looks very smart and beasty altough in the picture the ceramics do seem to be quite small although that maybe because of the way the photos taken and them being 21" wheels

I'm out of breath reading that; are your full stop and comma buttons broken?

E46 M3 was considered a rival to the B7 RS4 which had 414BHP not 450. But as the E46 was in production from 2001 it's not really fair to compare it to the B7 RS4 produced 2006 to 2007. The later generation M3 started production in 2007 with identical power to the RS4.

Think his pasword may have been changed!

With reguards to bhp, if the car can hit 60 in less than 4secs what difference does the bhp make? As long as there is more power to be wrung out of stock then thats all that matters imo. Give the car to MRC and see what can be done.
