Hello all,

With a heavy heart I’m now putting my 2007 Audi RS4 Saloon in Mugello Blue up for sale. With a 2 year old boy and another child arriving in May next year it’s time to put the sensible hat on (for the time being!) and downgrade. This is the longest I’ve ever had a car, nearly 3.5 years, and if I could, I would probably keep it for the same amount of time again. It’s been a joy to own with no issues. My cars previous to this, a Civic Type R EP3 and an E46 M3, both lasted only a year so you can see how much I like this RS4. I’d like to think this is one of the best examples out there as there are many poor examples on the market just now.

I’m based near Aberdeen, only 10 minutes from the local airport so happy to collect anyone who flies up. We are quite far away but only an hour from most UK airports! Makes the drive back home more enjoyable 

Purchase History:
• Purchased from Audi Aberdeen by me in August 2009 and was an Aberdeen Audi car new.
• 2 owners prior to me but I understand one of them hardly had it due to financial issues.

Service and MOT History:
• Every service done by Audi Aberdeen with next one in about 4,500 miles / 250 or so days.
• Always passed its MOT first time at Audi Aberdeen with MOT until June 2013.

Repair Work:
• DRC Suspension repaired under warranty – 2 shocks replaced with the other 2 having a clean bill of health.

Wheels:
• All refurbed to high standard in the last month by The Wheel Specialist in Aberdeen (http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk).

Paintwork etc.:
• The car had a full paint correction as soon as I purchased it and has had a full protection detail every year prior to winter usually done by Polished Bliss (probably one of the best in the UK).
• Another full paint correction and protection detail took place in the last month.
• An example of how the car looked after one of its details (http://www.detailecosse.co.uk/detailing/show_gallery/78 ). Please note, this was done last year and not the most recent detail.

General:
• Taxed until October 2013.
• This car is used on my daily 15 mile commute to work so it consistently gets a good run which I feel has been a factor in it running so smoothly. At a rolling road day last year (http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/trekscotland/rrday.htm) it was putting out 391bhp (the 389bhp on the website was its first run!) which is, I believe, very good for a standard car. I can’t of course guarantee it still has this power but hopefully this shows you it is well maintained and has minimal carbon build up.
• It is only ever fuelled with Shell V-Power or Tesco Momentum.
• Includes two keys, all receipts, owner book and service book with Audi Aberdeen stamps.
• No finance outstanding.
• Seat bolsters inflate as they should (common issue that they deflate over time).
• Exhaust flaps operated as they should.
• Good Year Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s fitted on all four corners approximately 5,000 miles ago with minimal wear.

Even more gorgeous in the metal than the pics suggest, and the car's in perfect condition (would think it was closer to 22k miles than 52k). Viewed in on Wednesday and would have taken it there and then if I hadn't already arranged to see the car I actually bought yesterday (grey + optics swayed me).

Forgot to add it's also got a Parrot MKi9200 Bluetooth Handsfree Kit fitted. Fantastic bit of kit as it easily allows you to take calls (on any type of phone with Bluetooth) and play the other person's voice through the speakers. Music from any phone can be streamed using Bluetooth through the speakers although if you have an iPhone or iPod this can be plugged in through the connector in the glovebox allowing you to charge it and also stream the audio - cover art is also shown on the display. A remote control is also provided that you can attach to the dash or steering wheel.

Blatant self promotion here to bump my ad up again but needs must! In all seriousness, I thought I should upload a pic of the dash when it wasn't lit up like a christmas tree like it does when you don't start the ignition. It also shows that Aberdeen is a nice warm place to be at this time of the year so anyone visiting to view it will be pleasantly surprised.

There's been some interest in the motor so far but nothing concrete. Open to sensible offers.

Some of these take a while to sell, when I was looking for my motor I noticed they seem to average 3 months ( unless well modified or exceptional ).

Its a case of being patient or taking a scraping more off the price however painful it may be, hope it sells soon for you.

Bump for £1k price drop. Down from £21,995 to £20,995. This car needs nothing done to it and is putting out power close to what it did when new!

When you say a sensible downgrade, are you looking for something cheaper, less powerful or more practical? I have a BMW 335D which I intend to sell before looking for an RS4 and wondered if you'd be interested in principal in taking mine as p/x, plus cash from me?

Thanks for the offer. By 'downgrading' I'm moving to an S4 Avant - slightly more refined ride and a boot that I can put all the baby stuff in.

Ignoring my interest in your car for a moment - why not keep yours and put a roof box on it? Mine's a coupe and we all manage to get around with the usual boot space to use, but put the roof box on when travelling distances or going on holiday etc. Best of both worlds!

By the way, why does your dash show "max 7000 rpm"?

Anyway, good look with the sale. If the timing works out with selling mine, I may get back in touch.

Sorry to jump in on the discussion, but that's because it's just been started up and the oil's not yet warmed up - that's what RS4s are supposed to do

GLWS by the way - mugello isn't a common colour to see around, but it looks superb in the flesh.

i just got a roof box for my avant, but is still probably not enough. the more space you have, the more stuff the Mrs wants to take....
