I am booked in for the 8am on the first class route.
Depart 21st. As with Jr I hope.

I felt it was important to get it booked as some of the times are already sold out.

The return I have chosen is the 1.30 pm. depart from Calais.
I booked with hoverspeed direct on 0870 5240241.
My tickets are non refundable but are transferable to other times so I am not too woried if I have to change.

The return times were offered at 10.30 am or 1.30 pm, as the 12.30 is fully booked already. I chose the mid after noon crossing as it gives us plenty time to get there. In comparison to the 10.30, this would mean a 5.30- 6.30 am depart from the holtel in Germany. I estimated 3-4 hours drgiving plus 30 min check in and 30 min contingency.

1st class, offers a first on first off policy, tea, coffee, papers and table service in the 1st lounge.

Hope this does not interfer with any other plans and is a reasonable suggestion,

If not I'm on my own. ahh!

G

Well John wants to come back on the 26th, so you may have to bring your crossing back by a day. Also the drive from Hock to Calais is about 8-9 hours....

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the offer.

At this stage, it seems we'll be doing a shorter version this year and just arrive in Hockenheim on saturday morning.

If plans change, then we'll do the calling ourselves, no prob

Sorry guys, it looks like this is off.
I am verry sorry - I have to tell you that you and your colleagues cannot participate at the drivers challenge this year due to overbooking !!
I had 10 days off and in this time I got a lot of registrations of german drivers before your registrations came in last week. Unfortunately we have too much participants, so that we have to stop the registration at 25 cars for each group. I hope that you are not too disappointed !
I spoke to our head of export sales at the quattro GmbH in charge for the UK, Mr. Thomas Riffel, that we will organise some equal event in the UK next year. This might be a cold comfort for you and I am very sorry to tell you this.
Please be so kind to inform your colleauges.
I personally take some of the blame here as I managed to lose the original entry forms.

Appologies to all.

Ah. Right. Well how about...

Option 3:
21st - Meet at Dover (Evening)
22nd - Drive to Spa
23rd - Spa
24th - Home

Everyone is back for work Monday.

Seems a real shame not to have what could still be a great meet? In fact - one of the best ever.

No blame on PhilT in anyway..
just the lax way in which audi ag seem to answer and corespond with there REAL owners, listen guys im really sorry that this has happened, i will be sending a e-mail of my own personal displeasure, and i suggest we all do the same, we were told on the 25th of sept that we had 14 days to sign up, the mere fact that Mr Strube has been on hoilday since then is the real cause of our dilema.
Dont fear we will get milage out of this, trust me.... heads will roll.

It'd be a shame to do nothing...I thought the ring was closed though ??

I'm sure we can find a few nice roads out and about to enjoy....like you said, a good crack and a few beers is the main part anyways!

Darn...

This is really a pain that they can't properly handle old-timers coming from overseas.... jaws dropping....

Regarding the option of SPA, hum... Might be tight as I sent a mail end of last week saying we weren't joining and it seems the event is quite booked now.

I'll try and call Marc Duez, the organiser, tomorrow to see how many entries can be secured and under which deadline.

I'll keep you posted.
