Gave the car a wash today. Came up quite well. Didn't get around to the interior so only external shots for now as the light was fading (glamourous photoshoot location - i know!)

A couple of addenda since friday:

My wife kerbed one of the alloys on the car on Friday (probably at the exactly the same time as i was writing the ad - lol), so that needs doing now. Doesn't look too bad the pics, but probably beyond a smart repair.

The heater was doing strange things today. All vents were blowing out warm air as requested, except the middle two in the dash which were blowing ice cold if you opened them??? Will get Audi to look at this when the car goes in on 10 Dec for service.

Thanks for all the interest via pm - I'll endeavour to reply to all tonight.

Olly

I wouldn't be surprised if that is how the heaters normally behave under certain conditions. You've probably never noticed it before, like the side vents blow when you have it set to the windscreen but the middle vents don't (probably to help defrost the door windows).

Very nice car by the way. You shouldnt have any trouble shifting it.

I've just had a crisis! This is very nice, wish I wasn't in the process of throwing large amounts of dosh at the house. That is a bargain!

Olly, the vents are meant to work like this for some strange reason. If you press the Setup button on your climate control panel you will see a setting for controlling the temp from the central vents independently to the others. No idea why these are controlled seperately from the rest of the vents but thats the way it is. I have mine on the middle setting and I believe this is the default.

Cheers Andy, I'll try this :beerchug:

another thing, for climate control gurus out there, do you know how to stop the heater fans coming on max everytime you start the car - cos, the first thing i usually have to do is turn them down?

Cheers

If you have it set at a comfortable temp it should just bring the car up to that temp gently without going mad. I have mine set at 20 during the winter months and Auto, the fans never go mad in order to bring the temp up unless I select front screen de-mist.
