RS4 B7 Avant....

Hi All

well after years off loving at and wanting one of these i've finally brought one... 2007 Avant with 48,000 miles on it paid 23500? That seemed like a fair enough price??. Although the car seems fine and is in fantastic condition i'd prefer to take it somewhere and get them to go over the whole car just to be on the safe side. I've got 3 months warrenty from the garage and know them pretty well so any issues that arise will be sorted.

Wheres the best place to take it.. i live in nottinghamshire so local will be preffered but dont mind travelling.


Really appriciate any advice. I've tried uploading a few pics but not sure if ive done it right... lol

While I'm on the subject I have had one issue with the car. The day after buying I was parked outside my old mans house for maybe 30 minutes. When I came back outside and tried to open with the fob it wouldn't. Opened with the key and tried to start it but it was like a flat battery. After the 3rd time of turning the key on and off it started no problem but I had to reset the clock etc... Like a total power loss. Its been fine the following 3 days. I had the battery tested which was good. The guy in the garage said there's a problem with water collecting under the engine where the battery would usually be causing a connection to short out... Anyone heard of this happening before?

He means in the scuttle tray,remove the battery cover and have a ganger.the drain may be blocked with leaves etc
