And good job holding out for the right spec - very nice!
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with dynamic steering after you've got a few miles under your belt - I've tried it several times and personally don't get on with it, but I'm wondering if it's one of those things that you get used to...

Great car! Same as you, I'm currently driving a 3.0TDI while waiting delivery of an S4 in the next few weeks... I do like my 3.0TDI so can't wait to feel the S4 engine Ona day to day basis

I really liked my 3.0 Tdi, but in the end fancied a petrol again. I am so pleased I did too, its a great engine, quiet, refined and very torquey, the 7 speed box keeps the revs low, then when you want to open it up its all there and really makes a sweet sound, its not an 8, and its not loud, but its very satisfying as an everyday car.mgoliveruk wrote:Great car! Re: New owner - S4 B8
Thanks. I have only done 400 miles so far of varied driving in town, motorway and quite a lot of A and B roads around Sussex, so perhaps it's too early to really comment on the dynamic steering. But so far it feels fine, quite weighty on the move and a solid feel, at slow speed manovering its quite light. The dynamic element - turning the wheel less to go around a corner, or making it more direct I am not really noticing, it just feels comfortable and does what I tell it to do.DALO wrote:FON

I did not buy the car for ultimate feel through the wheel, or to do track days etc. I wanted an everyday car or decent quality, good performance, safely get my family around in. I like 4wd and the traction that it offers and I am really liking the 7 speed dual clutch box. It's certainly more car than I hoped for.
