Well, where the hell where you guys???
It was perfect.
I drove away from my house at 06.00, and came at the RING at 8.30. Warmed up my car perfectly on those empty autobahns... [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
When I arrived there I was surprised. There weren´t that many people. Only some diehard Dutch Ring freaks, and some locals...
I bought my tichet for some laps...and entered the track.
Well they did some repair jobs to the cicuit and my first impressing on the first lap was that it looked perfectly....
and no traffic at all!!!, no motorbikes etc...the whole track for myself...ofcourse I shared it with some other dedicated drivers, but it was Magical. The car drove also perfectly.
In the afternoon the sun came, and more people came to the parkingplace...sure also more drivers on the ring, but not that many...You could still easely drive around without stoopid overtake situations( which mostly happen with motorbikes// in fact there waren´t that many bikes)
I had a perfect day.... [img]images/graemlins/nodder.gif[/img]
saw some rs4´s and s´3...but no Englisch plates. Just some Englisch porsches.
Of course some cars crassed during the day...
a porsche gt2 and a audi s2 coupe..both totall loss [img]images/graemlins/033102bad_1_prv.gif[/img]
So be carefull when you enter the RING, for me It was one of the best visits...

Yes, I have done the Ring a few times now. Missed the opening this year though. The RS4 is awesome but be prepared to be overtaken by a 1975 golf with no brakes (or apparently none).
Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)

I Know... those locals overthere got the best prepared trackmachines..(old vw,mini,old opels etc..) And they know the track inside out, so never try to follow them....just drive your own race...
That´s a nice thing about that track. You see yourself in a mix of all different cars...
You can overtake a ferrari, or a gt2.....But the next lap a old mini will overtake you...like if you´re standing in the grass [img]images/graemlins/033102bigblink_1_prv.gif[/img]
But I like the atmosphere overthere...
