A young fella washing it!! I can just imagine the muddy sponge, big swirls etc etc. Oh well, that'll teach me not to send it away dirty again.

Thanks mate. Seems like ages its been away, should have had it back last Friday but there was a slight 'communication' problem between the transport people and MRC which meant my car didn't get uplifted till Wednesday this week,- all going well I'll be getting it back TOMORROW :biggrin3:

"A young fella washing it!!"

That is exactly what I thought first! I am sure MRC know how much you love your motor and he would have been told to be careful - well hopefully! Enjoy your first drive out in it Iain when you get it back - just be carefully with that extra power and the current cruddy weather conditions!

Haha, not quite but sounds like a nice idea!

Basically I got the car back Friday lunchtime straight off the transporter and drove it approx 1 mile straight back to my house as I had no time to play being a working day. I also worked all day Saturday and Sunday till late so I had absolutely no time to play again. :(

However I got out on Monday eventually though the roads were still all absolutely shyte and either wet or muddy. I live out in the sticks and the roads are absolutely disgraceful around here with all the teuchters trying desperately to get their tatties lifted out of the muddy fields and dragging half of it onto the roads. Knowing there was 600+bhp under my right foot for the first time meant I was pretty cautious to say the least.
Having had the PES on for about a year I had gotten quite used to the style of power delivery and really loved the instant huge response from it. My very first impressions on driving around 'normally' with the TTS were initially that of disappointment(!) as the almost manic on/off feel had gone and the car now felt pretty much like it did before the PES charger was fitted. i.e, 'not much' happening before 5500rpm. However......... once I eventually found a bit of dry, mud free tarmac and planted it....holy fookin fook! Now that's more like it. When the 5.5k kick comes in it's like a frigging afterburner, a truly addictive massive surge of power that feels every bit like 600+bhp. And it just keeps on going with absolutely no let up in the awesome acceleration. Its a totally different experience to what I'd just managed to get used to with the PES and now feels closer to what the car was like to drive before,- but now with monster power! I've only done 100 miles so not really much of a write up but already I can tell I'm going to have a helluva lot of fun with this. :D
Now where does that local poser with the Lambo Gallardo live lol!

Now that’s more like it.

So glad you had the joy of giving a little bit of a boot, I’m so jealous of you right now, I just may have to go down the same road.

happy motoring :biggrin3: you lucky devil

So would you say that with the TTS unit it behaves more like a turbo car now? Offboost under 5k and drives similarly to a normal tuned RS4 but once 5k comes the car is off like a rocket. With the PES unit or similar the car is instantly off with torque etc like a Merc C63?

Big power single turbo cars are off or on, the tts delivers power as soon as you press the pedal. Difference is its progressive and smooth, once you hit 5k it lifts it a notch its effectively like vtec kicking in but more aggressive but nothing like a big power turbo car

Simon, what was the BTG time of the MRC TTS RS4?
