a lot of people see a quick turn aorund as a bad thing though, shows that maybe they rush, but like i say, no problems for me. Are you aware it looks like they have a big metal finishing factory behind, and next to, the Shop front. It looks like they do all sorts of metal work and refurbing wheels is just part of their work. I imagine this means they have a larger volume (capacity) of equipment / specialist tools that might not necessarilt be held by a wheels only company. Just my theory anyway.

I have done work at the back of their premises when the motorway concrete pillars were being rebuilt a few months ago, what a mess. There are lots of metal works in brum now offering £20 - £30 wheel refurbs.
You have the proof of their work and if you are happy then that's the thing that counts, hope to here a few more good stories about them in the future

mine are just being done as we speak. they take a couple of days to let them dry/harden. seemingly if you take them out too quick, they can more easily be damaged because they're still soft?! (i don't know, i just hand over my money.)

i'll post when they're back

Hi all,

time for my avus cabby to have all 4 wheels refurbed, should I stick with standard colour or can anyone post pictures of an avus car with anthracite wheels :D

Also can anyone recommend someone for full strip and re-paint in Essex?

Thanks,

Dave

Dave

I have Avus on my Avant and considered anthracite when having them re-done earlier this year, and found this pic

personally I decided it wasn't for me and stayed with silver, as I just felt that the OE silver works well with the mirrors and trims a bit better. But having said that I think anthracite does work OK with black optics

Very nice, any close up shots of the wheels?

Titanium pack (or to match wheels) mirrors would set this off a treat.

Tyre soap from removal, had wheels done at Rimstock, excellent service, 4 day turnaround
Wheels dipped, blasted, repaired then put onto the paint line along with their new wheels
Even put my old tyres back on, black wheel weights a nice touch
