Movit brake pad problem and bits for sale

Post by andnik » Sat Aug 28, 2004 7:03 pm

Hi

As some of you may know I have just bought a Noggy to replace my :redrs4:

When I removed the Movits to transfer them over I noticed that one of the pads was not right........

http://www.rs246.com/modules.php?op=mod ... &pos=-4445

the the material looks like it has started to break up...thankfully the discs are OK but has anyone seen this before they have only done 3500miles (was the Gumball though!!! ) now I know why they were squealing for the last 100miles!!!

Also I have a sat nav plus and a tanoga shifter that I now no longer need ( see last post on thread "Idiot" )

Thanks

I am looking for £450 which is what i got it for (fair enough I would say)

as for the pads I showed Kim Collins and it does appear to be excess heat (we did manage 310kph!!!!! in morroco) and a rub with 80 grade sand paper should return them to a good state (I found out they are £170 so I will do this!!!!)

If anyone wants to ask about short shift or Nav please contact me on nikbowe@arinsal.com

they did handle it very very well

It is a must have for me now as I am so impressed.......you could argue that we should have put different pads in for the Gumball as they did have a hard time the (curret pads are the soft ones for road use)

Hi Nik,

Do you still have the NAVI+ for sale?? Would you be willing to trade for something, maybe brake related, that I can get in the US cheaper then in the UK.

Mike
